You should help your child brush and floss up until the age of six or seven. The best way to teach your kids how to brush and floss is to show them and practice together!
When your child is able to brush and floss by herself, you'll want to ensure that she brushes at least twice a day and flosses at least once a day (twice is even better!). We recommend brushing for two minutes in the morning and before bed. Throughout the day, try to limit your child's snacking. Instead, pack your child a nutritious lunch and eat a balanced dinner. By limiting frequent snacks, you can reduce your child's risk of tooth decay.
